Editing Fujifilm X-T1 XDCAM media with Final Cut Pro X

For a fast and fluid workflow between Fujifilm X-T1 XDCAM footage and FCP X, sometimes you need to encode Fujifilm X-T1 XDCAM video files to ProRes codec before you start editing. To do this you will need a workable Fujifilm X-T1 XDCAM to ProRes converter. Learn how to convert Fujifilm X-T1 XDCAM to ProRes .mov via using such a converter app.


You need to install additional software to import Fujifilm X-T1 XDCAM media into Final Cut Pro X. To transcode Fujifilm X-T1 XDCAM MXF video files to ProRes, do as below: Step 1: Click "Add File" to load Fujifilm X-T1 XDCAM MXF files that you want to convert into this program.

Step 2: Click "Profile" to select "Final Cut Pro" > "Apple ProRes 422 (*.mov)" as output format. Apple ProRes is FCP X's favorite editing codec, which FCP X will recognize and handle well.

Tips: If necessary, you can click "Settings" button to modify video and audio parameters like encoder, resolution, frame rate, bitrate, aspect ratio, sample rate, and audio channels. You can also "enable 3D Settings" to add 3D effect to your source media.

Step 3: Click "Convert" to start Fujifilm X-T1 XDCAM files to ProRes conversion. As soon as the conversion is complete, click "Open Folder" to get the generated Apple ProRes files for editing in FCP X with optimum performance.
